About the Shockwave Booster Club

The Shockwave Booster Club is here to do anything and everything we can to make the boys that come to Spokane to play Arena Football in front of us feel as much at home as they can. We strive to make their living experience easier and let them know that Spokane is one big family that is happy to have them on board.

Some of our members have been known to pet-sit for players for road games as well as provide transportation for players friends and family to and from the airport. We have members who, on a moments notice, have assisted players who were having vehicle troubles.

Booster Club Accomplishments

Here are the things you are contributing to when you join the club or make a donation:

At the beginning of the season we sit down with representatives of the Shock players and together, determine the best way to support the players throughout the year. We look for ways to alleviate incidental expenses so that the players have less to worry about and can focus their attention on playing football. In the past we have been able to cover the cost of utilities as well as cable for each player apartment.

Monthly BBQs. We began this tradition with the 2008 season and it only continues to improve. Once a month, throughout the season, we get together with the team and host a BBQ. This usually entails cooking up 150-200 hamburgers and 60-120 hot dogs. We usually have potato salad and chips, and some of our fine members bake desserts and bring them to the event. For Father's Day 2011, we roasted an entire pig and intend to do so again in 2012! It is a good time to mingle with the players and get to know them on a more personal level. These monthly BBQ's are open to members only andwhile they are free to attend, we do ask for a $5/person donation to cover the expenses.

We are also currently working on getting setup to give a portion of our proceeds to local charities to help them in their endeavors to support those in need in our community.

Mission Statement
